Did you know that Hemp could soon be illegal in Texas?
Governor Abbott has SB3 sitting on his desk right now along with 100,000+ Texan signatures opposing this bill.
SB3 targets products with any detectable THC: The bill aims to ban all consumable hemp products containing any amount of a cannabinoid other than CBD and CBG. While hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds, and those seeds generally have very low THC content, SB3's "zero-tolerance" approach would likely render any product illegal if it tests positive for even minimal THC. This means that every single one of our Hemp360 products whether they contain cannabinoids or not would be illegal under SB3.
Hemp seed oil has minimal cannabinoids but may contain trace THC: Despite the fact hemp seed oil has been legal to consume and use in skincare for as long as we can remember in Texas, it would likely get lumped in with this bill. While hemp seed oil is not known for its cannabinoid content and won't get you high, it can contain trace amounts of THC. Some sources state that eliminating every trace of THC is impossible in hemp-derived products.
This means that SB3 not only targets cannabinoid products, but also hemp seed oil products too.
We have been in business since 2008 selling 100% natural, handmade, plant based and hemp seed oil forward skincare products.
This business has grown beyond our expectations and touched more lives than we could have ever hoped for. We continue to formulate, manufacture, label and sell all of our products as a family in Texas for the last 17 years. We sure hope and pray we can do this for 17 more!
Our goal since day 1 has been to educate and de-stigmatize the public's view on hemp through pure and effective skin care products. Hemp has come a long way in Texas since 2008 but, we risk losing it completely with SB3.
If our products have made a difference in your life and you believe this Hemp ban is wrong please call and email Governor Abbott's office today.
