HEMP EXTRACTS
-- WHY FULL SPECTRUM?
It is believed by many scientists that when we ingest a full spectrum oil into our bodies, all cannabinoids, flavonoids, fatty acids, terpenes, and other plant compounds work together in unison to maximize their benefits. This is known as the "entourage effect." Full Spectrum extracts also contain many fat soluble vitamins and minerals including B complex, zinc, magnesium, beta carotene, potassium, calcium, phosphorus and iron -- which are all essential for a variety of bodily and nerve functions as well as metabolic processes.
-- WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Really, the difference between a full spectrum oil versus a cannabidiol (CBD) isolate is the extraction process. A full spectrum oil does not solely include one individual compound, but rather it contains a large range of cannabinoids and compounds found in the original plant. Unlike isolated or synthetic cannabinoids, a full spectrum oil allows cannabinoids to work together to magnify their therapeutic effects (entourage effect).
[can·na·bid·i·ol] CBD = CANNABIDIOL = a compound that is one of the main constituents of cannabis/hemp; a nonintoxicating cannabinoid C21H30O2 that has significant medical benefits.
-- WHY COLD EXTRACTION?
Hemp360 uses one extraction method when producing our oils -- cold extraction. This keeps the oil under 140℉, maintains its natural terpene profile and contains 64-70% CBD. Utilizing our state-of-the-art food-grade alcohol extraction process, we extract cannabinoid-rich full spectrum CBD oil. We are devoted to extracting the cleanest, most sustainable, and cost effective CBD products on the market. Ethanol extraction is effective, efficient and safe.
-- WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
The plant does not have to be obliterated before extraction. In CO2 extraction the plant has to be turned into a powder-like substance before extraction. In this process you lose many of the beneficial, volatile terpenes. The material we process looks like it would in the field. This allows us to maintain the maximum amount of terpenes for maximum benefit and the entourage effect. Hemp360 uses a vacuum system and a falling film process to produce the full spectrum oil -- very important because it does not pull and tear the terpenes from the finished product. CO2 processes apply such great amounts of pressure that these actually tear the terpenes from the oil. Some of these terpenes can be added back in, but many are lost because they are so fleeting. The only solvent that touches our material is food-grade ethanol. CO2 extraction must use both CO2 and ethanol in its withdrawal process.
